Newcastle Brown Ale

Newcastle in Britain is believed to be the first location in Britain to brew beer. In Newcastle, this beer is referred to as "dog." Why? Because to go to the pub, men would say "it's time to walk the dog."

It is also referred to as "Newkie Brown" and is typically consumed out of a 12 oz glass. This allows the drinker to continue topping it off, which helps maintain the frothy head that is so desirable.

They have a really cool website, but if you are on dial-up it might take a while to load. The link is www.newcastlebrown.com. Give this beer a try and report back to us. Simply fill out your thoughts below and upload a picture of you giving the beer a try.
